Building resilient communities today is the first step to creating a better future for generations to come. The impact of climate-related hazards are challenges we can face together--with a united understanding of specific risks at a local level.

The community experts at the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) have collaborated with community development leadership at mySidewalk to deliver new data resources for communities in response to local climate pressures.

The Guides equip HUD recipients with the resources they need for assessing local risks and vulnerabilities while investigating tangible activities that build resilient communities.

The Community Resilience Data Guides are designed to be simple, accessible data tools for the average Community Development Department or other HUD recipient. The Guides reference the resilience framework from HUD, enriched by mySidewalk’s community data to guide targeted preventative action across 6 hazards:
